AI generation budgets: reservations, costs and predictable iteration
Understand how allocated budgets, generation reservations, verified payments and task history support a more deliberate AI creative workflow.
Separate a creative brief from a spending decision
Before generating, decide what you are testing: a composition, a material, or a motion idea. A focused experiment makes the output easier to compare and helps avoid repeated requests with no clear reason for the next attempt. The platform shows an allocated budget, not a promise of unlimited AI access.
Understand a reservation
Artcraft Suite reserves a model-specific amount before submitting a supported generation task. A reservation is a protective allowance, not necessarily the final provider cost. Existing spending and active reservations count toward the limits enforced by the server. Repeating a request with its same idempotency token does not create another paid submission.
Distinguish user, daily and global limits
Your user budget is one part of the picture. Administrator global limits, daily limits, allowed models, storage quotas and billing locks still apply. A newly purchased live credit pack increases the user allowance after a verified payment; it does not switch off the other controls. If a task is blocked, check the reported limit rather than trying to bypass it with another browser.
Payment confirmation is not the checkout return page
The platform creates an order from a server-owned catalog. Returning from a payment provider only brings you back to your order view. Budget is added after a signed event is checked against the provider receipt, user, currency and stored order. Duplicate events do not add another grant. Review the final checkout amount, including any provider-calculated taxes, before paying.
Test payments are kept separate
Sandbox orders can be used to validate a payment setup without creating spendable funds for real generation. Test credits have their own wallet and do not increase the live generation allowance. Keep test and live environments explicit, and retain the credentials needed to process older orders and reversals.
Unknown costs are not silently erased
A provider result may be billed even if saving its output fails. The cost record should remain separate from download success. When submission or billing is uncertain, the server retains the relevant reservation and may lock further generation for reconciliation. Starting another task is not a substitute for resolving that uncertainty.
Build a useful iteration habit
Write down the direction, choose an enabled model, inspect the spending confirmation, and generate one meaningful variation. Reopen the result in your private library and compare it with the prior version before starting the next request. Task history, private assets and server-side budget checks provide structure that a generic chat box alone does not supply.
