What is PhotoCraft for?

Refine an image composition with layered editing. The upstream project documents PSD support; check compatibility with your own files.

Documented upstream capabilities

  • Layers, masks and typography
  • Browser build distributed as a versioned static-site archive

Upstream documents PSD support. Test layered compatibility rather than assuming identical rendering across editors.

A practical workflow to evaluate

Keep your editable composition in layers, then export a compatible flattened reference for a separate AI generation attempt. Preserve the original PSD.

These are upstream-documented capabilities, not a compatibility certification from Artcraft Suite. Source: official PhotoCraft documentation, reviewed 2026-10-21. Availability depends on the current release.

How to get started

  1. Open the official project page and check current release availability.
  2. Confirm supported platforms, installation instructions and file formats. A web version is not promised for every project.
  3. Test with a copy of your file before relying on the workflow for production.

What is free, and what costs credits?

The upstream open-source project is separate from Artcraft Suite’s hosted AI service. You do not need our credit packs to explore the source or available local editor. Check the upstream license and any separately licensed assets before reuse. Optional external services follow their own pricing.

Our AI generation uses trial or purchased credits, not a license fee for this editor. Compare free editing and paid AI generation.

Current limits and file compatibility

PhotoCraft is currently labelled early alpha in the official catalog. Treat it as an evolving project, not a guaranteed feature-complete replacement for a commercial editor. Import, export and advanced editing capabilities may be incomplete; check the current documentation and releases for your intended format.

Can I combine this with AI generation?

Use our free PhotoCraft editor to open a local file, edit layers and export PNG without signing in. AI generation results can open directly in the editor. To continue from your canvas with AI, sign in, describe the change, review the credit reservation and explicitly confirm uploading the flattened canvas. Preview the result before adding it as a new layer; original layers and Undo are preserved. Save your .pcraft file to retain layers.

Where are my files processed?

The hosted PhotoCraft editor processes your document locally in this browser. Local recovery uses site storage; export a layered backup before clearing site data. Only the flattened reference you explicitly confirm is uploaded for optional AI generation. When you separately request generation on Artcraft Suite, your prompt and selected references are sent to the configured provider. Read our privacy policy.
